It cost you $35,000? I hope that's a joke because I could build a similar PC for well under $1,000.

I am using an AMD x2 4200+ right now and it is so fast. I would recommend AMD over Intel any day right now but just recently, Intel introduced their dual core processors so I don't know, we'll have to see. AMD still looks faster and they are introducing their quad core processors very soon!

Chip-makers AMD and Intel have released dual core processors aimed at users who need high arithmetic performance and use mainly multithreaded applications. Programs such as CAD/CAM and audio or video processing benefit particularly from a second processor core. However, AMD and Intel's dual core chips for this market cost between $500 and $1,000, and are therefore much too expensive for the mass market. .

intel...

No doubt INTEL is the king.

AMD is there, but it is always second choice of any vender.

I am sure that you might be also using INTEL for your PC.

Then why bother for AMD.

:)

in my experience, AMD warms up so fast but it is somehow faster that Intel versions.
