Beware of credit card debt
It seems the introduction of credit to the modern world was a mixed blessing. Many latched onto the idea of the 'take home now and pay later' product with eager delight. It worked well in helping families of the fifties and sixties bring home new technologies such as the television and the new dishwashers.
But it also helped families into credit card debt and opened up a whole new world of fraud to thieves who would have goods, services and cash without paying for them or leaving so much as a trace of their identity.
With so many temptations out there to simply use the plastic its easy to pile up a mountain of debt.
