Macs and Viruses

My best protection against viruses and all kinds of other computer nasties is that I use a Mac, and people generally don't bother to write Mac versions for their viruses.

I've heard recently that this is starting to change, now that more computer users have Macs. Has anyone's Mac been infected by a virus yet?
