Re: mba vs mca

Its all depend your attitude and interest. Their are equievalent opportunity in both streams but they are altogether very different in study aspects. MCA deals with software developer & MBA deals with management area.
If you feel that you are confident enough in language or networking or databases then you may opt for MCA. As you are doing B-Tech you must have good command over IT field you should go for MCA. After which you may try for MBA if needed. B-Tech students have more interests in software field.
On the other hand if you like management i.e. you have that much interest to go in managerial area you should opt for MBA.
As I am doing MCA as I want to go in software field i may opt to do MBA afterwards if i feel then MBA will be my extra qualification.
That's all.

If you are opting for MBA go for best B schools in India. Or you may be wasting your precious time and money. Today, you can find MBA institutes in more or less every University in India. You should get good placements after completing MBA studies. Check for the placement records of the institute.

If you feel that you are a technically qualified person then stick with your field that is , do your MCA.

I feel by doing an MBA you tend to go into the managerial side too fast and without utilizing your technical programming skills . Also i feel that if you are intrested in going abroad then it would be better to do an MCA as the scope for IT is international whereas if you do your MBA here in India you would tend to be restricted to this area only.

If you are completely fed up with the IT industry or the progamming part of it then move out by trying to do an MBA from the top instititues.

Good luck

MBA is a broader range of learning, management skills are more valuable to a lot more companies compared to technical programming skills, valuable only to those in that industry,

but hey, it's your life, you decide, if it's me, i'd go for mba anytime!

MBA man , anyday , you know why ?
- b.tech that you have already done is quite equivalent to MCA.
- MBA plus b.tech is very great combo , if you go by the industry needs today .
- MBA is more skilled and professional qualification than MCA
- MBA will offer you more jobs in coming years .
- Coupled with B.tech it is a sureshot winner over MCA

Mba

Mba Is Better B'cos Btech Is Advanced Than Mca. And AICTE tells that a BE / B.Tech ( CSE or IT) graduate can be a lecturer to MCA. But an MCA cannot be a lecturer to BE/Btech.
