Tale of Immigrants
The books on immigrants are fascinating, as the authors try to explore the psyche of the people and how they try to retain their identity.
Amy Tan's The Joy Luck Club can be considered as the one of the best, it talks about how the 1st generation Chinese mothers in the US try to get the best of both the worlds for their daughters. At the same time the vantage of the next generation, ie daughters in the US is also colorfully naratted.
Any other recommendations on the books dealing with immigrants?
