Painting a room is definitely one way to pass a weekend. I recommend getting someone to do the tough taping off part for you, and just lay into the walls with a big roller. That's the best part of painting.

if im bored in our house i makeover my room. i like to re arrange my room just like what you said.. for me it's entertaining... really. do try it too.. whenever you're bored do artistic thing that you could put in you room...

I've always wanted a home theater, where I can watch any movie I want and have some popcorn or whatever. But, a nice home theater costs at least a thousand dollars. I used to enjoy watching that show MTV Cribs because it showed all the stars houses with home theaters. Those would be a great thing to relax and have fun with..
