Romanticism

The very word “romanticism” is misleading. While the common idea is romance between men and women, romanticism connotes to people’s love for Nature. The age of romanticism can be roughly estimated to be around early 19th century. Stalwarts like Wordsworth, Shelley, Keats, Byron and Blake introduced the ideas of romanticism mainly to be yearning for a past that is lost, love for even simple aspects of nature and glorification of some moments. They believed that imagination was the highest form of reality that helps them create such eternal words of poetry.
